The department of Mechanical engineering being one of the oldest and the finest departments of the college is having learned and experienced faculty, who with their rich experience in academic and industry are able to enlighten the students about the latest trends and practical aspects of engineering.

The department has very good academic excellence and has continuously produced the finest set of vibrant and proactive engineers.

The department offers four years Degree course in Mechanical Engineering, the syllabus of which has been recently upgraded to meet the industries need for up-to-date technical knowledge, managerial skills, and exposure to Quality management and computers. The department has excellent facilities for the students to enhance their skills in various fields of mechanical engineering. Our engineers are waiting for an opportunity to prove their mettle at work place that is equipped with their hard earned degrees.

I had done quite a bit of research about the colleges in Pune, those which had good teaching faculty, good placement records and good infrastructure. Among those DYPIEMR was one of my top priorities. I had further got a very good feedback from my seniors which helped me in finalising DYPIEMR.

This Institute has a great infrastructure and good teaching faculty. The administrative section too is cooperative. Teachers here have knowledge in variety of fields. I still remember the day of my admission. I and my mother met our Principal to ask about college and she replied saying, “Four years from now you will be thankful that you got admission in DYPIEMR.” I was impressed by her confidence and decided to continue with DYPIEMR and over the time I realized she was totally correct.

Nine out of ten times we like a subject only if the professors teach us well and I liked all the subjects throughout my engineering because all the teachers were so well qualified and full of knowledge. Not only they taught us our syllabus bus also discussed with us the subjects other than syllabus.  The best part of our faculty is that they are easy to approach for doubts, career advice and motivation, discuss ideas and a lot of other motivational talks. In the beginning of one’s journey into the technical world, clearing doubts is the most important part which is taken care by our faculty.

            Student life at DYPIEMR is full of activities like technical fest, cultural events, sports activities followed by submissions and exams. Throughout the year many workshops and other competitions are arranged which gives many opportunities to showcase our talents.
